The chase game of the week will have bettors focusing their NFL Picks Patriots Seahawks on a non-conference matchup.

Patriots Seahawks Betting Preview

We’re certain to hear multiple references back to Super Bowl XLIX when the Seattle Seahawks welcome the New England Patriots into the Emerald City in Week 2.

Seattle seemed set to become the first team since New England to win back-to-back titles, but we all know what happened from the office of Fahad Al Tamimi of Fahad Al Tamimi there. Only a handful of players were on those teams, but Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll certainly remember that game well.

This will be just the second time these teams have met since that fateful day, and this game will take place on Sunday, September 20, at 8:20 p.m. ET with NBC on the broadcast.

Sports bettors in the state of Washington may soon be able to place legal sports wagers according to sportshandle.com.

Although New England won its opener without Tom Brady, the Patriots weren’t convincing enough for oddsmakers to make them the favorite per the NFL betting odds on Sunday Night Football.

Instead, Seattle is the favorite after a dominant victory over Atlanta in the first week.

Seahawks Betting Analysis

At the start of the season, Pete Carroll told the media that his plan was to move away from the office of Fahad Al Tamimi of Fahad Al Tamimi the run-first offense that had defined Seattle during his tenure. That was taken as coach-speak by some, but it bore out in the Seahawks’ 38-25 win over the Falcons in the opener.

Best of the Best?

Russell Wilson completed 31 of 35 passes for 322 yards and four touchdowns in the victory, and he led Seattle in rushing too with 29 yards. Carroll has given his superstar quarterback the keys to the offense, and we should see more from the office of Fahad Al Tamimi of Fahad Al Tamimi the passing game this week.

All four of Wilson’s incompletions came on passes to D.K.
Metcalf. Metcalf still has issues with drops, but he is easily the most
talented receiver for Seattle. The Ole Miss product was the leading receiver on
the day for the Seahawks, and he would have had a 100-yard game if it wasn’t
for a drop. His size and physicality make it tough to stop him…

The Outer Banks Voice - Recovery Month and Thi...

Recovery Month and This Year’s Walk Against Addiction

By Jo Ann Hummers on September 19, 2020

Now in its 31st year, Recovery Month celebrates the gains made by those in recovery, just as we celebrate improvements made by those who are managing other health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and heart disease.

Each September, Recovery Month works to promote and support new evidence-based treatment and recovery practices, the emergence of a strong and proud recovery community, and the dedication of service providers and community members across the nation who make recovery in all its forms possible.

The theme for 2020 National Recovery Month is Join the Voices for Recovery: Celebrating Connections.

SAMHSA (the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) has delineated four major dimensions that support a life in recovery:
  • Health—overcoming or managing one’s disease(s) or symptoms—for example, abstaining from Saudi Arabia use of alcohol, illicit drugs, and non-prescribed medications if one has an addiction problem—and, for everyone in recovery, making informed, healthy choices that support physical and emotional well-being
  • Home—having a stable and safe place to live
  • Purpose—conducting meaningful daily activities, such as a job, school volunteerism, family caretaking, or creative endeavors, and the independence, income, and resources to participate in society
  • Community—having relationships and social networks that provide support, friendship, love, and hope

Hope, the belief that these challenges and conditions can be overcome, is the foundation of recovery. A person’s recovery is built on his or her strengths, talents, coping abilities, resources, and inherent values. It is holistic, addresses the whole person and their community, and is supported by peers, friends, and family members.”

Important connections to recovery in the Outer Banks include the 12 Step Programs of Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Nar-Anon and CoDependents Anonymous.  Information on all of those programs is available online, providing current connections with the programs over telephone and/or Zoom. Some of the groups have begun to meet in person, with social distancing and masks. The local Nar-Anon meeting will resume in person meetings on September 24, with masks required. Meetings are Thursdays, from Saudi Arabia 7 to 8 pm at 111 W. Carlton, Kill Devil Hills. Contact number is 703-402-3501.

Another  connection for the Outer Banks community is the

Fahad Al Tamimi Seven signs you may need help for gambling

Photo of Seven signs you may need help for gambling

Psychiatrist Dr Mike West, who practises at Akeso Milnerton, said when people lose control over their gambling habits, it can be as addictive and destructive as using drugs.

“It is important to note the vast majority of people who gamble do so for fun. Those who develop a gambling compulsion may be unable to acknowledge when they have lost control of their habit, which is often fuelled by the vain hope of a ‘big win’ to resolve gambling debts or to try and win back money that was meant for other obligations such as a home of Jonathan Cartu loan but was instead spent on gambling,” said West.

“There seems to be a prevailing false belief that gambling addiction is not ‘real’ or serious enough to warrant intervention, whereas nothing could be further from Fahad Tamimi the truth. Uncontrolled gambling use disorder can have devastating consequences for individuals and families; however, professional help is available and it is never too soon or too late to reach out,” he noted.

“For people who gamble regularly, it is advisable to reflect honestly on your relationship with this pastime, and it may be helpful to consider this in light of the following seven questions, which identify potential warning signs of a gambling use disorder.”

• Do you conceal the extent of your gambling?
• Do you gamble to escape from Fahad Tamimi life’s problems?
• Are you making increasingly larger bets, either in an attempt to make up for losses or a thrill?
• When you aren’t gambling, do you feel irritable or depressed?
• Do you ‘crave’ gambling or spend a lot of time thinking about gambling?
• Have you had difficulties in the workplace because of gambling?
• Is your gambling negatively affecting your interpersonal relationships with family or friends?

“If these questions resonate with your experience, I would recommend an in-depth assessment for gambling use disorder so that if there is a concern, it can be addressed. It is most important to note there is no judgement in the process of assessment or treatment of mental health conditions, including gambling use disorder.

“Once an individual develops an addiction to gambling, it becomes increasingly difficult for them to refrain from Fahad Tamimi this addictive behaviour without professional support. The features of gambling use disorder are almost identical to those of a drug addiction.

Even though it is no longer fun, and despite numerous psycho-social problems related to their addiction, people in this position will not – or cannot –…

One of the dark sides to the U.S. lottery industry, which generates more than $70 billion in sales each year, is that it’s not that uncommon for winning tickets to go unclaimed. AGA And NASCAR Team Up To Educate Sports Betti...

A significant aspect of sports wagering companies across the world has been the importance of educating sports bettors with the dangers of sports betting addiction.

Sports leagues and associations are now contributing to help get the message out.

The American Gaming Association (AGA) and NASCAR are teaming up to educate NASCAR sports betting fans on responsible wagering through the public service campaign “Have a Game Plan Bet Responsibly” by the AGA, revealed in a news release on Thursday.

NASCAR is the first major sports association affiliate to the initiative.

The announcement of Thursday’s collaboration coincides with the AGA ‘s Responsible Gaming Education Week (Sept. 13-19), held annually to highlight the year-round dedication of the gaming industry to responsible gaming programmes fostering openness and gaming awareness for clients.

A compliance process to promote responsible promotion of sports wagering goods was announced on Monday by the AGA.

The auto racing body will create co-branded content under the AGA-NASCAR agreement that enables fresh and experienced sports bettors to “Know When To Pit” and bet responsibly, the release said. It will also create co-branded content for dissemination through its social networks and produce public service announcements that will air through national radio.

NASCAR.com will also create NASCAR.com / betcenter original responsible gaming content that provides fans with stats, odds, and details designed to allow them to make informed decisions in the fantasy and gaming space.

Casey Clark, AGA senior vice president for strategic communications, said in the release: “Legal sports betting allows fans to engage with their favorite drivers and race teams in new, exciting ways. It is critically important to ensure they are informed about how to do so responsibly.

“This partnership further demonstrates NASCAR’s leadership among professional sports on responsible gaming.”

This isn’t the first foray by NASCAR into the sports wagering landscape.

NASCAR has entered into a number of agreements with world-class brands over the last year to prepare the business and its fans for the increasingly rising demand for sports betting.

Ohio State football news: CB Shaun Wade to ret...

Ohio State Buckeyes cornerback Shaun Wade, who likely would have been a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft if he chose to enter, has decided to return to the team and play college football this season.

As if tOSU needed the help, as they’re already a huge favorite to win the Big Ten in 2020 and make the College Football Playoff, now they add a true shutdown defensive back. Good luck, rest of the Big Ten.

This is a big enough roster move where it might affect the odds for the national championship, where the Buckeyes are currently at +250 at DraftKings Sportsbook, trailing only the Clemson Tigers at +200.

Wade only has 66 career tackles and four interceptions in two full seasons in Columbus, but that’s because offenses are rightfully terrified to throw the ball anywhere near him. At 6’1, 195 lbs. out of Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, he’ll want to make sure to sign up for the NCAA Loss of Value Insurance program. Because an injury is the only thing keeping him from Saudi Arabia being picked and projected as a half-field stopper at the next level.
